To be honest with you, we aren’t usually fans of a co-ferment. The process tends to overshadow the coffee varietal itself and is often made with a castillo varietal which leaves us feeling a little empty. It usually is single-minded in the way it presents after being brewed, with one single, lonesome fruit note.
But when the team stumbled upon this washed purple caturra from Rodrigo Sànchez co-fermented with sangria, our minds were blown! This offering is clean, bright and the rocket candy notes stole our heart. It’s a go-to for a sunny Sunday that needs a fruity twist.
